Woman facing assault charges in connection with stabbing on Lost Knife Road
Man transported to hospital with isolated stab wound Thursday evening, per radio transmissions

A woman was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment Thursday in connection with a domestic-related stabbing on Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg, according to Montgomery County police.
Police said on social media Thursday that officers were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. to the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road for a “domestic-related stabbing.” A man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service radio transmissions, the 43-year-old man was transported to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda for an isolated stab wound to the lower back.
In an email to Bethesda Today Friday morning, police said the woman was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit where she was charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

That area of Lost Knife Road has been the location of several violent incidents recently, including a fatal officer-involved shooting on July 12.
When asked if there would be any enhanced police presence in the area, police told Bethesda Today that officers “regularly patrol this surrounding area.”
