Justice Department to appeal sentence for would-be Kavanaugh assassin
The Justice Department is set to appeal the sentence of Sophie Roske, the California woman convicted of attempting to assassinate U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his Chevy Chase home in 2022. Prosecutors called the eight-year sentence she received last October “woefully insufficient.” [The Washington Post]
MoCo native receives inaugural Content Creator of the Year RAMMY
Tessa Alimahmoodi, a Montgomery County native who runs the account @dcfoodgod with her partner Jason Fisher, won the inaugural Content Creator of the Year RAMMY Award. The award, bestowed by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, was announced Monday on live TV. [NBC4]
