    Some Montgomery County offices will be closed and services will be changed for Friday’s Juneteenth holiday. From Metro schedules to what’s open and what’s closed, here’s what you need to know:  

    What’s closed 

    What’s open 

    • Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS): All stores open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
    • Rockville Swim and Fitness Center  
    • Rockville Skate Park 
    • Josiah Henson Museum and Park
    • Open parkways (from 9 a.m. Friday  to 6 p.m. Sunday) 
      • Beach Drive between Knowles Avenue and Cedar Lane;  
      • Sligo Creek Parkway between Old Carroll Avenue and Piney Branch Road; and 
      • Sligo Creek Parkway between Forest Glen Road and University Boulevard West. 
    • Black Hill Discovery Center, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
    • Brookside Gardens  
      • Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
      • Conservatory is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
      • The Butterfly Experience is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Timed tickets required.) 
    • Cabin John Ice Rink  (Public skate from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6 p.m.) 
    • Wheaton Ice Arena (Public Skate from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m.) 
    • Cabin John Miniature Train, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  
    • Wheaton Miniature Train and Carousel, from noon to 5 p.m. 

    Trash collection  

    • County-provided trash and recycling collections: No collections on Friday. Collections for the remainder of the week will slide one day, with the collections occurring on Saturday. 
    • City of Rockville recycling, trash and yard waste collections will take place as scheduled.  
    • City of Gaithersburg collections will take place as scheduled.   

    Transit  

    • Metrorail: Opens at 5 a.m. and runs on a weekend schedule through 2 a.m. 
    • Metrobus: Saturday supplemental schedule 
    • Public parking garages, lots and curbside meters: Free  
    • Ride On, Ride On Flex and Ride On extRa: Holiday schedule  
    • Flash Bus: Holiday schedule for Orange Route. Blue Route will not be in service.  
    • MARC Train: Full service on all three lines  
    • TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store: Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
    • TRiPS mobile commuter store: Closed
