Two Montgomery County teenagers are facing attempted murder and other charges in connection with a March 20 shooting inside of a Germantown Giant Food grocery store that injured one man, county police said Wednesday in a news release.
Marcus Isaiah Jovon Braithwaite, 19, of Germantown, was arrested Tuesday and a 16-year-old from Montgomery Village was arrested March 25 after detectives allegedly identified them as the two suspects who chased the man through the grocery store at 18331 Leaman Farm Road before shooting him.
Montgomery County police identified the 16-year-old suspect, but Bethesda Today does not publish the names of minors charged with crimes.
The teens have been charged as adults with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, according to the release. The 16-year-old was charged as an adult.

According to the release, the 16-year-old was arrested on March 25 in Sterling, Virginia, and is awaiting extradition to the county. Braithwaite was arrested Tuesday in Germantown and is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he awaits a bond hearing.
Online court records for the case and attorney information were not available for either of the suspects as of Wednesday afternoon
In announcing the arrests, county police also released a video with surveillance footage from inside the store that shows two suspects entering, chasing the man through the produce aisles with what appears to be a gun in one of their hands and then shooting the man near the checkout lanes.
In the video, shoppers and employees duck behind the checkout lanes and take cover. Balloons hanging at the front of the store drop to the ground, indicating they may have been pierced by the bullets.
