Montgomery County police last week arrested two people in connection with a February stabbing at an apartment building in Silver Spring. Destiny Iyonna Lesueur, 25, and Eric Dewayne Harris Jr., 27, are charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with the incident. [WJLA]

Scotland AME Zion Church wins architecture award for restoration

A historic church built by formerly enslaved African Americans recently won an award for a restoration project that followed devastating flooding in 2019. AME Zion Church in Potomac earned a 2026 Faith and Form International Award for Religious Architecture and Art. [Montgomery Community Media]

Society Seafood House opens in Downtown Silver Spring
