Officers found several spent bullet casings at the scene and discovered four residences had been struck by bullets, police said. The gunfire also entered multiple bedrooms, including one where a child was asleep.
Police said no injuries were reported after the shooting.
On April 16, police obtained an arrest warrant for the teen that charged him as an adult. He is now being held at the county’s Central Processing Unit in Rockville, according to the release.
Before the warrant, the teen had been arrested on outstanding charges unrelated to the shooting, police said. During the arrest, police found a firearm on the teen, and he was also charged with firearms offenses.

The Germantown neighborhood where the shooting occurred has been the site of other shootings in the 20500 block of Staffordshire Drive that occurred in 2025. Police reported one incident in April that year, in which two vehicles and a residence were struck by gunfire, and another in July, in which one residence was struck by bullets. No injuries were reported following either shooting.
