Silver Spring resident Gedeon “Papa Kwam” Agbeyome was sentenced to six years in prison for his role in a nearly $3 million money laundering scheme tied to business email compromise fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Maryland. Prosecutors said he used stolen identities and shell companies to funnel illicit funds, and was ordered to pay nearly $2.94 million in restitution. [WBFF]
$10,000 reward offered in Westfield Wheaton mall robbery involving 9 teens
Montgomery County police are searching for nine teens accused of beating and robbing a victim inside Westfield Wheaton mall on March 16. Authorities released surveillance images and are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to arrests. [WJLA]
Bethesda’s EYA, Bernstein to develop former GEICO headquarters in Friendship Heights

Bernstein Management Corp., a Bethesda real estate developer, is joining Bethesda’s EYA in developing the former GIECO headquarters in Friendship Heights. Outlets, including Bethesda Today, previously reported that JM Zell Partners was partnering with EYA. However, the Washington, D.C., firm is representing GEICO through the land use and sale process.
