A Silver Spring man is accused of kidnapping two women on separate occasions in Anne Arundel and Charles counties. Bryan Neal Gordon, 27, allegedly posed as a police officer and handcuffed his victims in both cases. He is now being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center. [WJLA]

James Wood of Olney named MLB All-Star for second time

Metro Red Line closure now in effect

The portion of the Metro Red Line from North Bethesda to Friendship Heights closed Monday for a major, two-month infrastructure project. During the shutdown, which runs through Sept. 6, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is deploying a fleet of 100 shuttle buses between the affected stations. [WUSA9]
