Montgomery County police detectives are asking the public for help in identifying three men who are suspects in a strong-arm robbery that occurred Feb. 16 in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in Silver Spring. County police have released surveillance photos and video of the suspects. [ABC 7News]
Bethesda house fire displaces three
A blaze that ripped through a house at 7700 Arrowood Court in Bethesda on Wednesday has resulted in three people, two adults and one child, being displaced from their home. No injuries were reported; the fire caused about $750,000 in damage to the house. [DC News Now]
MoCo’s ‘Look Before You Book’ campaign highlights illegal massage shop warning signs
With a new campaign, dubbed “Look Before You Book,” Montgomery County is aiming to help residents avoid illegal massage businesses that may be human trafficking operations hidden in plain sight. Since 2024, the county has issued 40 civil citations to 25 different spas and 13 spa owners have been charged with felony offenses related to the illegal operations. [NBC4]
