Montgomery County police are asking for help identifying five suspects accused of stealing a 2015 Lexus GS350 in Gaithersburg on June 16. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Anne Arundel County, and surveillance cameras captured the suspects at a restaurant in Laurel. [Fox5]
Montogomery County bag fee law is lowering plastic bag use
Montgomery County’s “Bring Your Own Bag” law has successfully reduced plastic bag use since taking effect this year, according to a new survey by the Maryland Sierra Club. The data shows the 10-cent bag fee has encouraged most shoppers to bring reusable bags or go without one, while fewer people are choosing to pay for paper bags. [Montgomery Community Media]
