Police identify driver killed in rollover crash at Four Corners 

Collision also left a passenger hospitalized; occupants of other involved vehicles were not injured

Montgomery County police on Tuesday identified Moussa Diarra, 35, of Springdale in Prince George’s County as the driver who died last week in a rollover crash at Four Corners that also led to a passenger in the car being hospitalized. 

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews were dispatched around 10 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of University Boulevard West and Colesville Road for a report of a collision with entrapment.  

First responders found two people trapped inside a vehicle when they arrived, according to radio transmissions. They were able to extricate both occupants within minutes, but the driver, Diarra, died at the scene.  

The vehicle’s other occupant was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A preliminary investigation found that Diarra was heading west on University Boulevard East in a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a guardrail, the curb, two trees and a utility pole on the left side of the roadway.  

The pickup truck flipped and rear-ended two other vehicles — a white Acura RDX and a white Ford Escape — that were stopped at the intersection for a red light, police said. The drivers of the Acura and Ford did not report any injuries. 

The cause of the crash is still unknown, police said Tuesday, and the investigation may take weeks or months to complete. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
