    Pike & Rose developer Federal Realty Investment Trust is planning to redevelop the former site of Bark Social into an 85-foot-tall mixed-use building with retail on the bottom and office space on top. The combination beer garden and dog park abruptly shuttered all of its locations in 2024 and entered bankruptcy proceedings. [Washington Business Journal]

    Child, two adults escape house fire in Gaithersburg

    A child and two adults escaped their Gaithersburg home Sunday night after a fire broke out behind their refrigerator. The family was displaced and is receiving assistance from the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation. [FOX 5 DC]

    Two local eateries are expected to be featured on WETA’s Signature Dish next week. Lemon Slice Cafe in downtown Silver Spring and Lost Sock Roasters in Takoma Park are part of the show’s “Cafe Culture” episode, which is set to air on Monday. [Source of the Spring]
