Two men arrested for series of auto thefts in Bethesda

Montgomery County police announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Silver Spring man and a 38-year-old man from Frederick, accusing them of a series of auto thefts that occurred in Bethesda in mid-July. The men allegedly checked door handles of unlocked vehicles, stealing electronics, work equipment and other personal property, police say. [DC News Now]

Montgomery County man recounts moments he dodged a falling tree

As a powerful storm rolled through the region on Tuesday afternoon, a northeastern Montgomery County man narrowly escaped a falling tree that crashed into his home. “I looked up, and this tree was literally falling right towards me,” Ridgely Chichester said.  [WJLA]
