The MECCA Business Learning Institute in Germantown, Montgomery County’s only charter school, has submitted documents showing school administrators have fixed issues identified by Montgomery County Public Schools. Police ask public for help locating family of man, 36, struck by Ride On bus
Montgomery County police are asking the public for help in locating the family members of a 36-year-old man who was struck by a Ride On bus on March 25. The man, Jose Erasmo Rojas, remains in critical condition in the hospital and police believe he has ties to New Jersey. [NJ.com]
Rockville man tied to crypto hacking scheme bought Pokémon cards, rare collectibles, prosecutors say
Joseph Spalletta, 36, of Rockville, is facing federal charges and decades in prison in connection with a cryptocurrency hacking scheme. Spalleta stole more than $50 million, federal prosecutors say, and allegedly spent the money on collectibles such as a Magic: The Gathering card packs, first-edition set of Pokémon cards and a piece of fabric from the Wright brothers’ airplane.
