ICE officials spotted at traffic stop on Clara Barton Parkway
Two people were taken into custody Wednesday morning after fleeing a traffic stop operation on Clara Barton Parkway near the Glen Echo turnaround on Wednesday morning. The operation involved U.S. Park Police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the scene after officials believed the people who fled may have gone into the Potomac River. [NBC4]
Police release body-worn camera footage of stolen vehicle pursuit in Silver Spring
The Montgomery County Department of Police released on Wednesday body-worn camera footage from an officer in pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Silver Spring on July 14. After the driver, a 33-year-old woman, did not pull over, police chased her on foot when she exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. [DC News Now]
