One man was taken into custody Tuesday after he allegedly shot at another man following a traffic-related altercation in Rockville, Montgomery County police said Tuesday on social media.

According to police, officers were dispatched at about 10 a.m. for the report of a shooting in the area of Georgia Avenue and Norbeck Road. An investigation found that after a “traffic-related altercation,” a man discharged a firearm from his vehicle at another man in another car.

No one was injured, although a bullet struck the other man’s car, police said.

The suspect, whom police did not identify, left the scene after allegedly shooting at the other man. After conducting a search, police said, the suspect was found on Softwood Terrace, approximately three miles from the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Norbeck Road,  and was taken into custody.
