Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Germantown

A man was pronounced dead after being struck by a vehicle in Germantown Friday afternoon, according to Montgomery County police.
Officers were dispatched at about 12:35 p.m. Friday afternoon to the 11600 block of Drumcastle Terrace in Germantown for the report of a pedestrian struck, police said on social media Friday.
At about 12:53 p.m., police said the pedestrian was in critical condition and the driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene. Later, at about 1:50 p.m., police said on social media that the man was pronounced dead.
More information will be released “as it becomes available,” and no road closures have occurred as of Friday afternoon.
