    A man is dead and another person was transported to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda with life-threatening injuries after a rollover crash Thursday night at Four Corners, according to radio transmissions and social media posts from Montgomery County public safety agencies. 

    Around 10 p.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews were dispatched to the intersection of University Boulevard West and Colesville Road for a report of a collision with entrapment. 

    When they arrived, radio transmissions indicate, first responders found two people trapped inside a vehicle.  As of approximately 10:06 p.m., according to radio transmissions, the first trapped person had been extricated. The second trapped person was extricated about a minute later. 

    First responders classified one occupant of the flipped vehicle as priority 2, meaning their injuries were considered less serious but still potentially life-threatening, according to state protocols.

    The other occupant of the vehicle was classified as priority 4, meaning they did not require medical attention. County police said in a Thursday incident alert on social media that the person, an adult male, died at the scene. As of Friday, police had not released the man’s identity. 

    Two other vehicles were also damaged in the crash, MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos wrote in a post on social media Friday morning. All of the other people involved were not injured and declined to go to the hospital. 

    Pazos said Friday that the cause of the crash is unknown. Police are investigating the incident.
