There will be eggs to hunt, carnivals to attend and breakfast to enjoy in the days leading to Easter on April 5. Here is a list of eight things you can do around Montgomery County to get festive.
Friday: Spring Egg Hunt
4-5 p.m.
5100 Meadowside Lane, Rockville
B.Y.O.B. – bring your own basket – for one of two egg hunts on the grounds of Meadowside Nature Center. The first session will be for children age 5 and younger, and the second will be for children ages 6 to 10. Eggs are redeemable for prizes. Registration is required and costs $7.
Saturday: Bunny’s Breakfast Bash at Dave & Buster’s
Doors open at 8:45 a.m.

The Easter bunny will be on hand for photos at this breakfast that will also include an egg hunt and deals on unlimited play in the arcade. Tickets cost $30.51-$35.92.
Saturday-April 12: Bunnyland at Butler’s Orchard
9 a.m.-6 p.m.
22222 Davis Mill Road, Germantown
Butler’s Orchard’s Bunnyland will be open Saturday and Sunday, April 2-4, 6, 11-12. It will be closed on Easter Sunday and open the following Monday. Admission includes egg hunts, visits with farm animals, giant slides, a hayride and goodie baskets for kids age 12 and younger. Face painting and pony rides are available for an additional fee. Prices are $13.50-$16.50 online, $15-$18 at the gate. Free for kids 12 months or younger.

The church’s festival will include an Easter egg hunt, a bouncy house, a petting farm with baby animals and door prizes. The event will be free of charge.
Saturday: Rockville United Methodist Church Easter Carnival
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
112 W. Montgomery Ave., Rockville
In addition to music, games and crafts, there will be an Easter egg hunt for children in fifth grade and younger. The Pizza Monkey Food Truck will also be at the event. Tickets for the egg hunt cost $3 and money raised will benefit Rockville Help, an organization that aids residents who need food, financial assistance and other referrals.
Saturday: Epworth United Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
9008 Rosemont Drive, Gaithersburg
Epworth United Methodist Church is hosting an Easter egg hunt. Crafts, face paint and cupcakes will be provided at this free community event.

April 4: The 4th District’s Annual Egg Hunt
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
2000 Shorefield Road, Wheaton
Montgomery County police and Montgomery Parks present this event that includes an egg hunt around Wheaton Regional Park. There will also be games, balloon art and food.
April 5: Gaithersburg Church of the Nazarene annual egg hunt
8:45 a.m. – 10 a.m.
8921 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg
The Gaithersburg Church of the Nazarene is hosting its annual egg hunt on Easter Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m. Kids who are in fifth grade and younger can participate in the hunt for free. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m.
