Montgomery County police have identified Kamonte Dwayne Drazier, 20, of Washington, D.C., as the man who died in a local hospital after first responders found him Friday night suffering from gunshot wounds in a Twinbrook Parkway parking lot, the department said Monday afternoon in a press release.

No suspect is in custody as detectives with the department’s Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the shooting, the release said.

The shooting occurred Friday night in the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville, according to police. Officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the location around 10:20 p.m. and found Frazier in a parking lot suffering from “apparent gunshot wounds.”

Police said Monday that officers at the scene performed CPR on Frazier until MCFRS crews arrived. He was then transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore has ruled the manner of Frazier’s death a homicide, police said Monday.

Frazier’s homicide is the fourth that county detectives have investigated this year.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the homicide to visit the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County website or to call 1-866-411-8477 to provide tips. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.
