Montgomery County Circuit Judge J. Bradford McCullough denied a challenge to Anton’s Law, a change to the Maryland Public Information Act that made it so most police disciplinary records can be disclosed. The judge rejected the efforts of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35, a police union, to block the release of an officer’s disciplinary records. [The Daily Record]
County opens registration for rare whiskey lottery
Montgomery County’s Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) is set open registration for an annual lottery for rare whiskey on Sunday, April 12. Winners will be able to purchase bottles released from more than 900 bottles, between April 25 and May 23. [MoCoShow]
Police plan effort to stop distracted driving
Montgomery County Police, along with officers from Rockville and Takoma Park, announced they plan to be educate and ticket distracted drivers, with the fine ranging from $83, to as high as $5,000. [Montgomery County Media]
