The school bus driver involved in the 2025 crash that killed 11-year-old Summer Lim accepted a negligent driving charge on Thursday and will pay a $390 fine and get three points on his license instead of going to trial. Investigators said both the driver and the student shared responsibility for the crash. [WUSA9]

Police investigate reported sexual assault in Montgomery County

One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a reported sexual assault Wednesday night near University Boulevard West and Amherst Avenue in Wheaton. Police said one suspect has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing. [WJLA]
