For the 2026-2027 school year, Montgomery County Public Schools plans to raise the price of school meals by 30 cents due to the increasing cost of food and staff wages. Developers pitch 134-unit apartment building near Chevy Chase Lake
Developers are proposing to construct a 134-unit apartment building at 8402 Connecticut Ave. in Chevy Chase near the future Purple Line station and Chevy Chase Lake development. The plans, filed by Potomac Development Group and Landmark Realty, will be reviewed by the county’s Development Review Committee in mid-May. [Urban Turf]

This summer, Atlanta rapper T.I. is set to perform at The Fillmore in Silver Spring on July 18 for his upcoming tour. The rapper is known for early 2000s hits such as “Whatever You Like,” “Swagga Like Us” and “Live Your Life,” which features Rihanna. Tickets go on sale Friday. [DC News Now]
