Four people were taken into custody Tuesday after a police chase through Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County. Montgomery County Department of Police assisted U.S. Park Police chasing a stolen vehicle and arrested the four near Colesville Road and University Boulevard East in Silver Spring. [DC News Now]

Hundreds of middle schoolers showcased their inventions to improve life on Earth at the KID Museum in Bethesda, Maryland, Sunday. Projects included drones to clear trash and mobile shelter for people experiencing homelessness. [WTOP]
Police awarded federal funds to reduce backlog of DNA cases
The Montgomery County Police Crime Laboratory was given $119,000 to outsource 15 DNA cases to an accredited facility to reduce a backlog of DNA related cases. The funding was part of $1.3 million the state of Maryland received to address the issue. [Montgomery County Media]
