    A 17-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital in stable condition with an “apparent gunshot wound to the leg” after a reported shooting Monday night in Silver Spring, Montgomery County police said Monday night on social media.  

    No suspect was in custody and no suspect information was available, according to police.  

    Police said officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews were dispatched at about 7:40 p.m. to the 1300 block of Castle Boulevard on Monday for a report of a shooting.  

    No additional details about the shooting were provided.

    Police didn’t immediately respond Tuesday morning to Bethesda Today’s email requesting more information about the incident.
